Jodi Pratt & Associates is a risk consulting practice that specializes in Fraud and Operating Risk Management for the Financial Services Industry.

Originally founded in 1997 (operating as "Pratt & Associates"), the goals of the practice remain the same:

Biography: Jodi Pratt has returned to head the consulting practice she began in 1997, now known as "Jodi Pratt & Associates".

Prior to this, Jodi was Senior Vice President and Managing Principal of Carreker Corporation's Risk Solutions Group, where she was responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing support of a wide range of leading-edge fraud detection and risk management products and services.

With more than 25 years of experience in retail bank operation and technology development, Jodi has worked exclusively on fraud control and risk management issues since 1992, when she accepted an assignment at Bank of America to create and then manage their National Operating Controls-Project Management unit. This unit was responsible for developing and implementing the bank's first generation of liability risk fraud detection and prevention systems, and then continued to provide directions for local, interstate and cross-divisional units in the area of fraud and operation risk control. Subsequently, she also served as Executive Vice President and Division Head for WJM Technologies, a fraud detection solutions company.

Ms. Pratt has participated in several national task forces and advisory groups for the financial services industry, including the American Bankers Association Check Fraud Task Force, the ANSI Sub-Committee on Check Fraud, the Star Check Advisory Board, the Primary Payment Systems Steering Committee and the Bank Adminsitration Institute's Planning Committee. She was instrumental in founding a number of industry initiatives including the practice of fingerprinting cashed checks, the creation of a national bankers' "shared metrics" group and the FraudBAN Shared Financial Fraud Database. She is currently working with other leaders in the industry to create the Fraud Roundtable, an organization focused on helping banks minimize loss and legal exposures associated with current and emerging risk management operations, practices, policies, procedures and technologies.

Ms. Pratt writes and frequently speaks to industry groups worldwide on the subject of fraud detection and prevention and risk management.
